Where to begin

I recently got engaged and we are planning a wedding for 900 people! I want to go to india for the clothes and was wondering if anyone knows the top places to go to in Mumbai? I am thinking about having the invitations created here, however I think they will be much cheaper in India... has anyone had a good experience with designers in India?
